Stokes Croft China from PRSC

Erasing the boundary between fine art and manufacture, our fine bone china ware is decorated in unlikely ways using salvaged ceramic lithographs from the decimated Staffordshire Pottery industry. The funds thereby generated help to finance the activist work of the People's Republic of Stokes Croft.

For this initiative to work we must all be conscious of our actions.
The responsibility to purchase locally lies in the hands of the buyer.

Features

Our products

All products are salvaged decorative transfers from the last major independent decorating factory in Stoke: Broadhurst Bros. of Burslem. There are also rescued kilns, factory equipment, large quantities of undecorated chinaware and more transfers from long-closed factories, leading to what is believed to be the largest collection of vintage ceramic transfers in the UK.

The production

Item production is very low run, predominantly unique ware, designed and produced by local artists, and fired on the premises.

Limited edition

Limited edition of beautiful English fine bone china mugs that are decorated using slightly imperfect mugs.
